Shoes Blues

There are currently two shoe-size holes in my wardrobe. Luckily, I have found just the pieces to fill it.

Sam Edelman flats. I need these yesterday.
Cocobelle gladiator sandals. I already have them in black and ordered these from Shopbop last week. They're real and they're spectacular.

I need this girl's wardrobe. Though I'd settle for her hair, perfect bone structure, stunning looks even when caught sans makeup, relationship history, bank account or London digs. But mostly the wardrobe.

Seriously. Perfection.

I'm Not a Plastic Hag

I was trying to decide what to write about on my first post for this style blog. Let me first say I'm not super fashionable or trendy, but I have a very strong sense of what I like and what works for me (sadly, these two sartorial tenets do not always correspond as closely as I'd wish to what my bank account will allow). Anya Hindmarch's much-coveted (and subsequently much-derided) I'm Not a Plastic Bag is probably the most trendy item I've purchased in the past few months, but I'm proud to say I had the foresight to phone the local A.H. store and get myself on the pre-order list to secure the tote rather than stand in line like some particularly unflattering form of fashion roadkill or bid above my means for said bag on eBay (though before I get too high and mighty, I must admit that I have proven in the past that I am not above that type of hype-driven behavior). So I thought I'd post my precious purchase here. It's not particularly indicative of my style (though it is if you catch me on my way to Trader Joe's) or the style I'm seeking to possess, but it's quite fashion-y, so there you have it. For a style blog, particularly for the first post of a style blog, fashion-y trumps all.
